"Modern Structures" is a photographic study of contemporary architecture that explores how today's buildings shape our urban landscapes and reflect our cultural values. This series focuses on the bold forms, innovative materials, and striking geometries that define modern architectural design.

Architecture photography presents unique challenges and opportunities. It requires careful attention to perspective, light, and composition to capture not just the physical structure, but also the architect's vision and the building's relationship with its surroundings. Through this project, I've sought to document both iconic landmarks and lesser-known architectural gems.

The images in this collection span several major cities, each with its own architectural character and approach to urban design. From soaring glass skyscrapers to innovative cultural institutions, these photographs celebrate the creativity and technical prowess of contemporary architecture while exploring how these structures shape our experience of urban spaces.

Architectural photography requires specialized techniques to capture buildings accurately while conveying their artistic qualities. For this project, I primarily used a Canon EOS 5D Mark IV with tilt-shift lenses (17mm and 24mm) to control perspective and minimize distortion, particularly when shooting tall buildings from ground level.

Timing is crucial in architectural photography. Many of these images were captured during the "blue hour" just after sunset or before sunrise when artificial building lights balance beautifully with the ambient light in the sky. Others were shot in specific lighting conditions that highlight particular architectural features or create dramatic shadows and patterns.

In post-processing, I focused on maintaining accurate vertical lines while enhancing the contrast and textures that make each structure distinctive. My approach balances technical accuracy with artistic interpretation, aiming to capture both the objective reality of these buildings and their emotional impact on viewers.
